Coaches’ In The Field Workshops

The purpose of Netball Victoria’s Coaches’ in the Field program is to support the existing coach accreditation framework by delivering three hour educational workshops designed for coaches at the grassroots level, as well as workshops that are aimed specifically at Development/Level 1 (or higher) accredited coaches.


There are thirteen workshops available, including eight sessions open to all coaches:
  • Space Awareness, Timing and Reading the Game
  • Getting More Out of Your Drills
  • Footwork
  • Ball Handling
  • General Attacking Skills
  • General Defending Skills
  • Program Planning
  • Lesson Planning
The other five workshops are aimed specifically at Development/Level 1 (or higher) accredited coaches training players 17 years. They are:
  • Defending in the Goal Circle
  • Attacking in the Goal Circle – The Individual Skills of the Goaler
  • Specialist Centre Court Skills Part 1
  • Specialist Centre Court Skills Part 2
  • Attacking in the Goal Circle as a Unit – GA & GS Working Together

Workshops are delivered by Netball Victoria’s experienced coach educators and run for three hours, except for Program Planning which is two hours.
Associations or Clubs may apply to host a CIF workshop and sessions are open to all coaches. All booked workshops are listed in the online Netball Victoria Coaching Calendar
The cost of participating in the CIF workshops are kept at an absolute minimum, with participants only required to pay $35 to attend each workshop. Please click on the following link to access information regarding hosting a CIF workshop:
