Netball Victoria State Team Program
The Netball Victoria State Team program runs over three age groups 17/Under, 19/Under and 21/Under and provides an opportunity for the state’s best athletes to progress through Netball Victoria pathways. The program runs from late October culminating in the National Netball Championships.
Netball Victoria would like to congratulate the following coaches and team staff on their appointments within the Victorian State Team Program.
Netball Victoria High Performance Manager Rebekah Webster said the organisation was excited to have mix of experienced coaches and team personnel, along with a number of new faces joining the High Performance program.

Selections for the 17/Under program kicks off this Saturday at the Zone Academy Inter Academy weekend held at the State Netball and Hockey Centre.
A Screening Day for the three age groups commences the following Sunday 25 October.
The State Team program provides a high performance environment and pathway for athletes, coaches and team staff, with all three teams competing in a week long National Netball Championships.

High Performance State Team Policy
Netball Victoria is calling for all eligible athletes to put forward their expression of interest for the 21/Under Victorian State Team Program for 2016.
Expressions of interest for the 2016 21/Under Victorian State Team are called each year in line with the High Performance State Team Policy.
In line with the High Performance State Teams policy, it is preferred that all players remain in their own age group. However, players may be automatically be considered for selection outside their age group within the following guide lines:
- Current year ANZ Championship/ANL Team, 17/U or 19/U State Team Members may nominate for the 21/Under selections.
- In exceptional circumstances players may be considered for selection outside these criteria by consultation, and with the approval of the High Performance Pathway Coordinator and Head Coach.
- Age Requirement: 21 years or under as at 31 December 2016.
- All applicants must hold a current Netball Victoria Membership
Players must fully completed the Expression of Interest Form
Parent must co-sign this application if a player is under 18 years of age.

Netball Victoria is now accepting applications for the Selectors and Team Manager positions for the 2016 State Team Program.
All Applications must be accompanied by a covering letter detailing relevant experience and suitability for the role(s). Applications close at 12pm Monday 5 October, 2015.

Independence Australia Victorian All Abilities State Team
The Independence Australia Victorian All Abilities State Team will compete in the 2016 Marie Little OAM Shield.
Netball Victoria congratulates everyone for their efforts during trials in November and will confirm the team in due course.

Marie Little OAM Shield
The inaugural Marie Little OAM Shield was held in Sydney in 2013 with Victoria triumphant. In 2014, history repeated itself and Victoria was once again victorious, this time in Melbourne.
Marie Little OAM was the founder of AUSRAPID and served as president from 1986 until 2011. She worked tirelessly to improve the lives of Australians with an intellectual disability using sport as the medium.
The Marie Little OAM Shield provides an opportunity for everyone to recognise the All Abilities State Team players’ commitment, talent and passion for the sport.
