Corletto awarded Victoria University Hall of Fame

Netball Victoria congratulates former Melbourne Vixen and Australian Diamond Julie Corletto on her induction to the Victoria University Hall of Fame yesterday.

Part of the Victoria University Alumni, Corletto studied for a Bachelor of Applied Science – Physical Education in 2008, and followed up with a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education in 2009.

Recognised for her contribution to the sport of netball, Corletto’s successful domestic and international career included the 2009 ANZ Championship premiership with the Melbourne Vixens, 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games Gold medal and is a three time world champion, most recently part of the 2015 Netball World Cup winning Australian Diamonds.

Corletto retired from netball after becoming a world champion with 52 Test caps to her name.

To be eligible for consideration and appointment to the Victorian University Hall of Fame, Corletto met the following requirements; “Where a Full Blue holder has achieved outstanding sustained performance in sport, completed studies at Victoria University and has retired from elite level sport.”
