The Geelong Central Netball Association is celebrating 90 Years of Netball in Geelong.
Netball first began in Geelong in 1924 when a committee started the Blue Triangle Community, with teams of girls working in the local mills played basketball on Saturday afternoons.
90 years later, one thing remains the same – netball is still a thriving sport, organised by dedicated volunteers.
Geelong Central Netball Association will host a breakfast at Kardinia Park on Sunday 19 October from 8:30am.
Guest speakers Eloise Southby and Jessica Gallagher will address a crowd of 200 people.
The official breakfast function will be followed by an exhibition netball match and a display of photos and memorabilia.
