The Canberra Darters kick off the Round Five of the Australian Netball League on Friday night with a clash against the Victorian Flames at the AIS Arena.

Flames have won the only previous encounter between the two sides, triumphing 74-46 in Melbourne last season.

Top sides the Victorian Fury and Queensland Fusion will be looking to consolidate their positions on the ladder and move closer to ensuring semi-final appearances when they take to the courts in the nation’s capital over the weekend.

The Fury take on the Tassie Spirit in the first match of Saturday’s triple header followed by the Fusion’s clash against the Blues.

On Sunday, the Fusion will look to continue its unbeaten record against the Spirit and the Fury likewise against the Darters when they meet in the final game of the round.

The Netball NSW Waratahs, Southern Force and Western Sting all have the bye this round.
