Netball Victoria is delighted to support the Murrun Dhelk ‘Living Good Health’ Victorian Senior Aboriginal Football and Netball carnival in Bendigo on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October.
The carnival brings together over 3000 Indigenous people from around Victoria to share culture and sport.
Netball Victoria Community Development Manager Cassandra Hadson said the tournament is a fantastic opportunity for local communities to come together and embrace netball in a fun and competitive environment.
“You hear stories of cousins and family members who may go the whole year without seeing each other and this tournament is a way to bring them together and to enjoy spending time with their community,” Ms Hadson said.
“There are a number of parties that come together to run this event and the continued support from both Government sporting codes and community partners is integral in ensuring the event continues to grow in the future.”
With over 40 netball entries across three divisions, Netball Victoria is drawing on their resources to bring in local umpires for the competition, with further development opportunities available.
