Netball Victoria partnered with AFL Victoria to deliver a Sports Carnival on Friday 20 March at Barooga Sports Club.
More than 400 children aged 8-12 participated in a series of football and netball sessions with athletes from the Hawthorn Football Club and Australia Post One Netball Ambassador Elaine Osei-Safo.
“The day at Barooga alongside AFL Victoria was a fantastic display of how sport offers opportunities for all ages, skill levels and backgrounds to have a go at challenging themselves whilst working closely with others in supportive and inclusive team environments,” Osei-Safo said.
“The carnival tied in nicely in the lead up to Harmony Day and highlighted why One Netball is such a wonderful initiative.”
One Netball aims to make netball more accessible to the diverse population of Australia, empowering the community and encouraging long-term involvement in the sport. Join the One Netball Community at onenetball.org.au
