As the Melbourne Vixens prepared for their game against the Southern Steel at Hisense Arena on April 19th, Netball Victoria hosted it’s 2015 Annual General Meeting (AGM) which received and celebrated the operational and financial reports for 2014.
With delegates representing Netball Victoria’s affiliated Associations attending, the day focused on the development and enhancements of the sport across Victoria.
It was announced that following an application and voting process by the delegates, Richelle McKenzie was re-elected to the Netball Victoria Board for a further term of three years. Maureen Lambert retired from her Board position, and will continue working in the netball community. This leaves a vacancy, and the Board will implement a process to fill that gap with a suitably skilled Appointed Director
The Association Development Day was also held following the AGM. This event enabled Netball Victoria and its partners to showcase their products and services, and connect with Association representatives.
Netball Victoria CEO Michelle Plane was very pleased with the day.
“Having the key people delivering netball in Victoria come together and work on continuing to develop and grow our sport is really encouraging for all involved,” Ms Plane said.
“As we continue to work on delivering our strategic plan for netball, every opportunity that we have to continue to work with and discuss key ideas and issues with our Association and League representatives and for them to talk with each other, is a positive for both strengthening relationships and implementing forward plans. It also gives our Associations and Leagues and opportunity to access valuable services and products from our sponsors, and our sponsors a chance to show their wares”.
We thank all those Associations, Leagues, Life Members and our commercial partners who joined us on the day.”
