Netball Victoria supports Reconciliation

geva school

On Monday the 26th of May, Netball Victoria staff and Melbourne Vixens athlete Geva Mentor supported Worowa College’s annual Reconciliation Sports Carnival.

The Reconciliation Week’s sports carnival is conducted each year at Worowa Aboriginal College in Healesville.

The Sports Carnival brings together several schools from the surrounding area to participate in a round-robin Sports carnival.

The event is a true demonstration to the commitment to Reconciliation.

Netball Victoria aims to encourage participation in netball amongst the Indigenous community in Victoria.

Programs such as ANZ NetSetGO Inclusion, which aims to address financial barriers that some communities face, through to supporting the VACSAL Indigenous Football Netball carnival, Netball Victoria aims to foster Indigenous participation through a range of inclusive opportunities.
