Netball Victoria is proud to celebrate its 30th annual State Titles tournament in regional Victoria with the competition taking place in Bendigo on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October.
The tournament is an integral part of the Netball Victoria player pathway and provides a unique opportunity for teams across the state to come together and compete in 15/U, 17/U, Open and All Abilities divisions.
More than 600 athletes, coaches, umpires and officials from 19 eligible regions are expected to attend the competition, which also offers talent identification opportunities to all involved.
Netball Victoria Competitions Manager Angela Banbury is excited about the prospect of bringing the tournament to the regional netball community in Bendigo.
“The Netball Victoria State Titles is a pivotal platform for us to showcase the incredible netball pathway we have developed in Victoria,” said Banbury.
“Past and present Melbourne Vixens athletes have played in this tournament when they were coming through development programs, as well as top ranked umpires and coaches. It really does offer something for everyone involved.”
“I have fond memories competing for Latrobe Valley in the 1992 State Titles and can only hope that everyone participating this year can look back in 20 years and reflect with the same sentiment that I do.”
Netball Victoria staff embraced the 30th year anniversary celebrations when they posed for photos with banners of the regions they have an association with by either living or growing up there.
