Netball Victoria Competitions Rules and Regulations
Netball Victoria exists to enrich Victorian Communities through the sport of Netball. Our vision is more people involved in netball more often.
Through competitions Netball Victoria’s goals of; increasing participation; building capacity, people and places; and growing the support for netball can be achieved.
Netball Victoria will support participation of all groups and populations including; girls, boys, women, aged, indigenous, disabled, and culturally and linguistically diverse. All competitions will provide a welcome environment and create awareness around cultural views and barriers.
The Victorian Netball League is considered the premier state league netball competition in the country. It provides the best opportunities to play, coach and officiate in the Netball Victoria pathway.
The Netball Victoria Association Championships will be entering its 19th year of competition in 2018. Providing more than 220 Victorian Associations the opportunity to compete in their regional qualifiers in 13/U, 15/U, 17/U and Open divisions. Finalists the advance to Finals Day at the State Netball Hockey Centre.
The Association Championships are a crucial part of the Netball Victoria pathway, with talent ID staff working to identify athletes, umpires and coaches at all tournament days.
The Netball Victoria State Titles provide a fantastic opportunity for all 19 regions in Victoria to come together and compete in 15/Under, 17/Under, Open and All Abilities netball divisions.
The weekend competition not only brings quality players, coaches and umpires from all areas across the state but is recognised as an invaluable development tool and promotes a structured pathway for those playing netball in Victoria.
The Netball Victoria Schools Championships are one of the largest netball tournaments conducted in Australia and attracts Government, Catholic and Independent school teams from around the state.
Teams play in a round robin format across multiple preliminary days across Victoria with the top teams advancing through to the finals day at the State Netball Hockey Centre. For more information on the 2018 Schools Championships click here.
Focusing on participation and socialisation, the Netball Victoria Masters Super 7’s is open to all players aged 30+. The game includes variations to the rules including Power Plays, unlimited rotations and 3 point goals from outside the goal circle.
The League Club Challenge is a tournament for Clubs who are A Grade Premiers from Netball Leagues around Victoria. In a round robin format, the winner will be named the Best Club in Victoria.
