Netball Victoria encourages participation in netball among young people who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and their communities.
Netball Victoria have designed specific programs and initiatives that aim to increase participation and build the capacity of the leaders of tomorrow.
– Coaching and umpiring development courses
– Indigenous netball carnivals across the state
– Talent Identification Pathways for young athletes
– Leadership camps in conjunction with KGI
VACSAL – Junior Football and Netball Carnival 2016
Netball Victoria has been working closely with Victorian Aboriginal Community Services Association Ltd (VACSAL) to organise the upcoming VACSAL Junior Football Netball Carnival, to be held in September. The VACSAL Junior Football and Netball Carnival provides personal and professional development opportunities. The carnival also promotes cultural ties, family participation, healthy lifestyle and showcases unique Aboriginal talents.
It will be Netball Victoria’s third consecutive year coordinating the carnival. The carnival will be held in Geelong this year, working alongside the Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative.
Registrations will close on Friday 9th September 2016.
