With thanks to the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, your netball club could score free tickets to watch the Melbourne Vixens v West Coast Fever on Sunday 17 May or Melbourne Vixens v NSW Swifts the following week on Sunday 24 May.
Gambling and sport have become synonymous in recent years and it’s a growing concern for communities and sporting clubs across the state.
The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation aims to reduce the prevalence and harm of problem gambling and to help those who choose to gamble, to do so responsibly.
The foundation runs a sporting club program that encourages clubs across the state to create a responsible and healthy club environment in relation to gambling. The centrepiece of the program is a responsible gambling charter which clubs are asked to implement. The foundation works with individual clubs to provide support and advice on implementing the charter and also delivers responsible gambling education sessions to players and club officials.
Encourage your netball club to sign the Responsible Gambling Charter and shift the focus back to the ‘love of the game’ not the odds. The Melbourne Vixens have got on board so you should too!
The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation are offering each netball club* that agrees to implement the charter throughout the netball season 10 free tickets to either Round 12 or Round 13 of the ANZ Championship at Margaret Court Arena.
