20th year of Association Championships

Netball Victoria will celebrate the 20th year of the Association Championships, visiting eight centres across the state in 2019 including the finals day hosted by Frankston & District Netball Association.

The Association Championships is a vital talent identification competition in the Netball Victoria pathway for not only players, but also coaches and umpires.

The competition will begin on Sunday, 26 May in the North East Zone – where Netball Wodonga will host their first Association Championships qualifying stage since 2004 – and the Western Zone at the Warrnambool City Netball Association.

Closer to Melbourne, suburban hubs Springvale & District Netball Association and Caulfield & District Netball Association will host their first Association Championships for the Central East Zone. Springvale will hold the 15/U Female (males <13 years of age as at the first day of competition may participate) and 17/U Female divisions, whilst Caulfield will host the 13/U Female (males <13 years of age as at the first day of competition may participate) competition.

The Finals day at Frankston & District Netball Association will see the top teams from each Zone compete, as well at the Open Female and the inaugural 15/U Mixed (females and males – restrictions apply) divisions taking to the court.
