Victorian umpires selected for World Cup duties

Victorian umpire, Marc Henning and former Victorian umpire Michelle Phippard have today been announced as umpires for the Netball World Cup in Liverpool in July this year.

Netball Victoria’s Umpire Development Coordinator – High Performance, Cathy Gallop congratulated the two umpires on their appointments.

“We’re thrilled to see Marc and Michelle appointed for the Netball World Cup – a testament to their hard work over the last few years in particular,” said Gallop.

“The Netball World Cup is one of the pinnacle events in the netball umpiring pathway, and we are incredibly proud to see Victorians being recognised by the International Netball Federation.”

INF International Umpiring Manager, Christina Davidson, said: ‘Congratulations to those who have been appointed, I am pleased there will be so many world class umpires in action at what will be a thrilling event.’

Thanks go to the members of INF OAG2018-1 for providing their input and time to complete the Officiating Advisory Group (OAG) for the VNWC2019 Umpire and UAP selection and the INF wishes all those involved well in undertaking their duties.
