Applications open for ANL Victorian Fury official’s positions

Netball Victoria is pleased to announce current Victorian Fury Head Coach Kristy Keppich-Birrell will continue in the role for the 2015 season. Kristy commences in her second year of the appointment after a resoundingly successful 2014 campaign seeing the Fury complete back-to-back unbeaten seasons courtesy of their 51-49 victory against the Queensland Fusion in the 2014 Grand Final.

Speaking of her reappointment Kristy is really looking forward to the challenge of once again building a successful team in 2015. The ANL program gives so many athletes the opportunity to step up from our underpinning State, VNL and RSL programs.

“Once again we are aiming to dominate the competition and to push ourselves even harder in 2015. Personally, I learnt a lot last season and am looking to find our “Victorian Edge”. It is what will set us apart and give us the results we are looking for on and off the court” Keppich-Birrell said.

The Victorian Fury will compete in the Australian National League (ANL), a national competition managed by Netball Australia, matches are played around the country in a variety of venues and culminates in the Finals Series weekend. Due to the recent withdrawal of the NSW Blues side the draw is currently being revised but the competition will run throughout a 6 week period in July and August with at least 1 x home round and several away fixtures. Finals will be held in Melbourne.

Applications are now open for the ANL Victorian Fury Assistant Coach, Apprentice Coach, Team Manager and Physiotherapist. Please click here for position descriptions and further information.
