2024 Netball Victoria Board Elections Netball Victoria (NV) is the governing body of netball within Victoria
NV is calling for interested and suitable applicants for the 2024 Board elections.
There are three (3) positions available for elected directors with each position for a three-year term. Experience in one or more of the following skills is desirable but not essential:
• Data and IT
• Commercial and Marketing
• Finance and Risk
Netball is the most popular team sport for females in Australia with around 1 million people participating. We know our game faces many challenges in an increasingly competitive market. Our new strategic plan (2023- 2026) positions us well to tackle those challenges, driving innovation and change to ensure we consolidate our place as a leader for sport participation in Victoria. Applicants can detail all other areas of experience and expertise on the Nomination Form.
Netball Victoria’s Directors must be leaders who are ready to lead change and prepared to be challenged for the good of the sport we love. Our values are fundamental to the way we make our decisions and as such it is important that each of us can relate to the sentiments in each statement.
They are:

Directors should also:
• Understand, agree with, and be prepared to contribute to NV’s purpose objectives
• Understand and commit to application of the principles and practices of inclusion and diversity
• Be compatible with and be prepared to work with other directors
• Have a good understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a director.
NV delivers netball to diverse communities across Victoria; we embrace our diversity and encourage people from all areas of our community to consider nominating for the NV Board.
Applicants are encouraged to read the Netball Victoria current Strategic Plan and Constitution and it may also be beneficial to read the Netball Victoria Corporate Governance Charter which can be obtained from the NV office.
Board members are required to attend Board meetings throughout the year which will occur on no less than six (6) occasions and will also be required to sit on Board sub committees and attend netball events at various times in metropolitan and regional Victoria.
