2027 Membership Category Modifications

Kinder Net Category

Netball Victoria is introducing a dedicated Kinder Net category for children aged 3-5 years participating in introductory preschool or kindergarten netball programs of up to 12 weeks.

This new category provides affiliates with an appropriate membership option to support the delivery of structured introductory programs, helping young children develop confidence, fundamental skills and an early connection to netball.

Junior Membership Category

The Junior membership category will be adjusted, with eligibility changing from commencing at 7 years of age to 6 years of age.

This change reflects the diverse range of participation and competition opportunities already being offered for children under 7 years of age and provides greater flexibility for affiliates to support local participation pathways.

 

What Does This Mean for Woolworths NetSetGo?

Woolworths NetSetGo will remain the national introductory netball program for children aged 5-10 years and continue to play a vital role in the netball participation pathway. The new Kinder Membership does not replace Woolworths NetSetGo. 

Rather, it provides an appropriate membership option for affiliates delivering introductory netball experiences for children aged 3-5 years before they progress into Woolworths NetSetGo.
