Sporting Schools connects schools with over 40 national sports to deliver inclusive, curriculum-aligned programs.

Sporting Schools offers grant opportunities up to $3,600 for primary schools, and targeted grant opportunities for secondary schools in relation to Years 7 and 8 students. Grants support the delivery of sport-based programs to help students build the confidence and capability to be active for life.

The Sporting Schools program aligns to the Play Well Sport Participation Strategy through Priority area 2, embedding a culture of sport in and around schools to drive lifelong involvement in sport.

Aligned to the Australian Curriculum 9.0 (Health and Physical Education), the program also integrates personal and social skill development, helping students learn about respect, inclusion, and teamwork both on and off the court.

Successful schools can book coach or teacher-delivered sessions through the Sporting Schools portal.

Program inclusions:

  • 10-week program for Foundation – Year 6
  • Teaching posters
  • Curriculum-aligned guide
