Privacy Enhancement Update
As you all know, there was a privacy enhancement released earlier this year. This enhancement meant that the personal details of minors (or anyone who chose to hide their profile) was not visible on the public portal. The side effect of this was that administrators could no longer see the players names in match reporting, to look at things like matches played, without having to follow a few steps and accessing a restricted part of the public portal.
This obviously caused a lot of frustration and extra work for administrators. We heard this frustration, though phone calls and emails, and went back to InterAct Sport asking for this to be rectified so that administrators could still have full access to player statistics. As of last Friday, when the new release went out, this issue was fixed. You should all now be able to see player statistics and votes in the admin system without having to click through multiple pages. We appreciate your patience during this time.
NV Gender Regulations and Labeling of Competitions Videos
There appears to still be some confusion around Netball Victoria’s Gender Regulation and labeling of competitions policy that was introduced and came into effect on 1 January 2019.
NV has produced two helpful videos called ‘Gender regulation in a nutshell’ and ‘Promoting male participation’ which will help our affiliates who are unsure how it affects them.
If you still require further clarification, please contact member services on 9321 2255.

Public Safety Infrastructure Fund Grants 2019/20
The Public Safety Infrastructure Fund Grants are available to support Victorian councils to undertake the development and improvement of public safety and security infrastructure.
Infrastructure grants between $20,000 and $250,000 will support projects using good urban design and equipment, including Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and lighting for example, to help improve community safety, security and confidence in public places.
Community organisations wishing to propose applications for public safety security infrastructure should contact their local council to discuss their ideas.
Applications close at 4pm on Friday 2 August 2019.
