Coaching Presenters

Stacey Marinkovich is the Origin Australian Diamonds Head Coach and the 15th person in history to lead the world’s number one netball team. In the last 12 months, Stacey has coached the Diamonds to a World Netball Quad Series win, a gold medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, and two series wins on home soil for the Constellation Cup and England Series. 

Stacey boasts more than a decade of coaching experience at all levels of the game, having coached the West Coast Fever in Suncorp Super Netball and Australia at an international level as specialist midcourt coach of the Australian Development Squad and Australian Fast5 Head Coach. 

Awarded Netball Australia's Joyce Brown Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2022, Stacey has also had a lifetime involvement with the Netball Australia pathway as an elite player within state representative teams and for the Perth Orioles and West Coast Fever until her playing retirement in 2009.

Kim Bailey has an Elite coaching accreditation and looks after coaching and umpiring as Netball Australia’s Workforce Manager. She has been the Head Coach for the Western region in Netball Victoria’s Talent Academy since 2020 and coached the Geelong Cougars in the Victorian Netball League from 2019 to 2020. 

Kim is currently one of Netball Victoria’s Coach Developers, delivering accreditation courses and coach education workshops to community coaches across Victoria.

Gerard (or Gez, as many know him) has been involved in the Victorian netball pathway for over 15 years in coaching and selector roles, including Zone/Talent Academy, the Victorian State program, Victorian Netball League and Suncorp Super Netball. He was a Victorian and national men’s and mixed netball representative from 2003-2009 and has recently been appointed as the head coach of the Victorian Open Men’s team. 

Gez was awarded his High Performance coaching accreditation in 2018, the highest level of coaching accreditation available and has been the head coach of the Geelong Cougars in the Victorian Netball League since 2014. Gez brings elements from his diverse background in business, health and sports to his coaching, including a focus on psychology and communication.

Melbourne Vixens and Australian Diamonds legend Tegan Philip has done and won it all as a player, from ANZ Championship and Suncorp Super Netball premierships (2014, 2020) to a Commonwealth Games gold medal (2014). 

Tegan played for the Melbourne Vixens from 2010-2020 and has been coached by some of the game’s greatest, from Julie Hoornweg and Simone McKinnis to Lisa Alexander.

Following her retirement from elite netball in 2020, Tegan returned to her local junior club in Anglesea in a player development role to offer her knowledge and support at a community level.

Wendy Jacobsen played 145 games with the Melbourne Phoenix, Melbourne Vixens and Adelaide Thunderbirds, and represented Victoria and Australia through 17/Under, 19/Under, 21/Under and open age groups. 

She is currently the Head Coach for the Victorian 19/Under State team and Coach Director/Head Coach at Boroondara Express in the Victorian Netball League. In 2016 and 2017 Wendy was also the Collingwood Magpies’ specialist midcourt coach in the national league. She currently holds an Elite coaching accreditation.

Sarah Hogan currently holds an Advanced coaching accreditation and is a Netball Victoria Coach Developer, delivering accreditation courses and coach education workshops in the Victorian netball community. 

From 2019-2021 Sarah was the Under 15s Head Coach at School Sport Victoria. Sarah has significant experience coaching within the Netball Victoria pathway, including as a Talent Academy coach and assistant coach for the Victorian State teams (17/Under in 2018 and 19/Under in 2019). Sarah has also been coaching in the Victorian Netball League since 2017 for North East Blaze and coached the Division 1 team in 2022.
