Netball Victoria’s State Titles event will be hosted at the State Netball Centre again in 2023, the flagship competition set to run across the weekend of 7-8 October.
The event is an opportunity for all 19 regions across Victoria to compete in 15&U Female, 17&U Female, 17&U Male, Open Female, and Mixed All Abilities competitions.
From 2024 the State Titles will move to the March long weekend and be hosted in regional Victoria. The exact location is yet to be confirmed.
The new scheduling for State Titles will afford Netball Victoria the opportunity to open the annual netball season with an event involving all of the state’s netball regions.
The earlier date will also benefit VCE students by reducing the impact on year-end loads, and will remain consistent from year to year.
After a hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, the State Titles weekend returned in 2022 and saw over 600 athletes take the court at the redeveloped State Netball Centre in Parkville, along with thousands of fans.
All 19 regions were represented for the first time in close to 20 years, including Glenelg which made its return after 10 years.
