Netball Victoria’s Association Championships is a key event in the state's talent pathway, providing an opportunity for players, coaches, and officials to develop and be identified. Held across five weekends in seven locations throughout Victoria, the 2025 Association Championships brought together more than 95 associations and leagues in 13&Under (male and female), 15&Under (male and female), 17&Under (male and female), Open (female) and All Abilities divisions.
This year, each region saw a growth in representation with 405 teams and more than 4,400 players competing in the event. The qualifying teams of each region competed in the finals day at the State Netball Centre on Sunday 29 June.
In an exciting reflection of the health of our talent pathway across the state, there was even representation of both regional and metro teams taking home the silverware.
North East collected plenty of gold, showing the depth of talent in the north of the state. West Gippsland FNL (Eastern) and Altona NA (Central West) were dominant across their qualifying days, with all three teams represented at finals day.
Hoppers Crossing NA (Central West) demonstrated their growth in junior male divisions, taking home all three premierships (13&U, 15&U and 17&U).
St Albans Caroline Springs NA (Central West) had fallen short in 2024, but with a full team effort they competed in both the 13&U and 15&U grand finals, finishing premiers and runners up respectively.
Goulburn Valley NL (North East), the only other affiliate to compete in two female grand finals, took home gold in both the 15&U and Open divisions. A tight contest in the Open final, Goulburn Valley were keen to do one better than their 2024 campaign as runners up, coming out on top of Murray NL.
Ovens and Murray FNL (North East) were too good in the 17&U grand final, with a strong performance in a competitive division where four zones fought it out in the finals.
The All Abilities program at Bayside & District NA (Central East) continues to develop a strong pool of players, taking the premiership again in 2025.
