Netball Victoria’s high-performance pathway calendar began over the March long weekend with the State Titles taking place at the State Netball Centre.
63 teams competed across the three days in 15&U female, 17&U female and male, Open female and All Abilities divisions. The tournament had 991 registered participants, including 823 players, 105 coaches, and 69 umpires, with an approximate daily attendance of 2,000 people.
The State Titles, as an event, showcases talent in players, umpires and coaches from all pockets of Victoria. It is an integral part of Netball Victoria’s pathway, particularly for players and umpires who are talent identified by scouts to take their next step, which may be Talent Academies or Victorian state team trials.
During the opening ceremony, Netball Victoria announced Roll’d as an official partner of the State Titles, Association Championships, and School Championships. As a new partner of Netball Victoria, Roll’d brings together a brand that prioritizes health and nutrition with some of the most important competitions in Netball Victoria’s high-performance pathway.
This year’s State Titles showcased the depth and spread of talent across the state, with ten different regions being represented in grand final matches. Two Bays played in their first grand final since 2023, Barwon's All Abilities team are now the reigning champions for the second year in a row and in the Open division Elmer have won for the third year in a row.
Over the tournament, 13 umpires achieved their B Badge Umpire accreditation, with 2 of these umpires also recipients of the umpire awards for the competition. Mia Kouzoumis was awarded with the 2026 State Titles Umpire of the Tournament award and Peyton Olsson awarded the 2026 State Titles Rising Star Umpire award.
The coach mentor program took part over the tournament which included nine coaches from nine different regions. The program provides a unique chance for coaches to receive expert mentoring from Netball Victorias experienced Coach Mentors, offering guidance practical experience and support, to enhance the coaches performance the State Titles.
In the 17&U male division, Two Bays defeated Henderson (12-10). Louis St Mart from Henderson was awarded the Grand Final Player of the Match.
Two Bays followed up that performance with a thrilling win against Goulburn in the 15&U grand final (16-10), Fetulianina from Two Bays was awarded the Grand Final Player of the Match. This marked the first time Two Bays had made grand finals since 2023, where they also won two titles at the tournament.
The 17&U female saw Chisholm defeat Jika (16-14), with Georgia Corr from Chisolm awarded Grand Final Player of the Match.
Elmer and East Gippsland went head-to-head in the Open Female Final, with Elmer claiming victory for the third consecutive year in a thrilling 15–14 finish. Georgia Hellyer was awarded the Grand Final Player of the Match.
Barwon and Western faced off in the All Abilities draw, with Barwon winning the title for the second year in a row (12-2).
The State Titles are a key step in the Victorian netball pathway, providing opportunities for emerging athletes, coaches and officials to further their development and showcase their talent.
