SPOTLIGHT ON EMILY ANDREW – FURY
Having shown her versatility in and around the circle, sharpshooter Emily Andrew is a key component to the Fury lineup. Coming off a 600-goal VNL season with the Wilson Storage Southern Saints, Andrew is Fury’s most experienced shooter and plays across both goal shooter and goal attack. Standing at 191cm tall, Melbourne Vixens training partner Andrew consistently showcases her agility and accuracy under the post and will be sure to keep the Futures’ defensive end on their toes. The goaler has had a strong start to the tournament and will be hoping to build on those performances when she takes on the Queenslanders.
SPOTLIGHT ON LILY GRIBBLE – FIREBIRDS
A product of the Netball Queensland pathway, defender Lily Gribble will be looking to make her mark during her second ANC appearance. Gribble has represented her state at five different underage levels and was instrumental in TAE Aerospace Ipswich Jets' run to the 2023 HART Sapphire Series grand final. The versatile defender plays predominantly in goalkeeper and applies intense pressure whenever she takes to court, making life difficult for whoever she comes up against. It’s set to be a thrilling matchup between Andrew and Gribble should they go head-to-head in the circle.
