The next generation of netballers and umpires will be in action across Victoria this weekend at the 2017 Association Championships.
Proudly presented by Lumo Energy and WM Loud, the Association Championships will see 350 teams from 94 Associations and Leagues compete in two divisions across three age groups (17/U, 15/U and 13/U).
Entering its 18th year, the competition plays a vital role in the Netball Victoria Pathway, helping young athletes pursue their dream of playing at a higher level.
Netball Victoria Chief Executive Officer, Rosie King spoke of the importance of the tournament.
“The Netball Victoria Association Championships tournament is a vital part of our athlete development pathway,” said King.
“At each location talent scouts watch those participating in the 15/U and 17/U age groups, with a view to invite selected talent to Zone Academy and State Team screening days,” said King.
The winning team across both the Championship and Open divisions will be invited to compete at the Association Championship Finals Day on Sunday 25 June at State Netball Hockey Centre.
