57 teams from across the State took to the court on Sunday in the 2023 Association Championships Finals Day, presented by Toyota.
Teams across six divisions were looking to walk away with the silverware after three weekends of fierce competition at the qualifying days.
The finals weren’t only an opportunity for the athletes to showcase their skills, it also allowed coaches and officials a chance to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment as they progress through the Netball Victoria pathway.
The championships were also livestreamed for the first time across KommunityTV, allowing netball fans across the state to tune in live and watch Victoria’s emerging talent.
Banyule District NA will be ecstatic with their performance; their Open and 17&U teams crowned champions of their divisions. The Open team triumphed over SS&A Ovens & Murray Football Netball League in a gripping battle, snatching the win by a single goal.
Waverley District Netball Association were dominant with a phenomenal 26-goal win in the 17&U Male division, which returned for its second iteration this year.
St Albans Caroline Springs Netball Association also took home the silverware in both the 13&U and 15&U divisions; their rivalry with Parkville Netball coming to a head in the 15&U competition. With a repeat of the Central West qualifying day, St Albans Caroline Springs proved too good on the day with a five-goal win. The 13&U final was contested against Netball Wodonga who finished top of their pool with 4 wins and a draw.
Drouin & District Netball Association emerged victorious in the All Abilities grand final, digging deep to claim a three-goal win over Sandringham & District Netball Association - Blue in a tight contest.
