The top two winning teams across the six zones will compete on the day, fighting for the crown of the Association Champions. Across the day, age divisions competing vary from 13/U female, 15/U female, 15/U mixed, 17/U female and Open female categories.
The competition provides more than 180 Victorian associations and leagues the opportunity to compete in a crucial part of the Netball Victoria pathway, with talent ID staff working to identify athletes, umpires and coaches at all tournament days.
General Manager – Netball Development, Angela Banbury said the events have identified an array of talent across the pathways.
“Now in its 20th year, Netball Victoria’s Association Championships is an integral part of our athlete, coaching and umpiring pathways, with talent identification opportunities that will see many participants take that next step in their netball journey,” said Banbury.
“We’ve had a successful few weekends of competition with incredible talent displayed with it all culminating this weekend at Frankston & District Netball Association who we thank for hosting.
“Netball Victoria would also like to thank each and every volunteer who helped us across the competition days. Your dedication to our sport does not go unnoticed and we really appreciate the work you do.”
