Netball Victoria is pleased to confirm the 2021 Origin Association Championships for both Central East and Central West are planned to be delivered on Sunday 21 November and Sunday 28 November.
Whilst the tournament won’t be held in its traditional format, largely due to venue capacity limits, it is an important competition for talent identification for both players and umpires in the Netball Vitoria pathway.
The tournament’s format will be delivered in a hub to allow all age groups from associations and leagues to compete at the same venue, with representation from five to seven associations and/or leagues at each venue.
All teams in each age group will play in a round robin format with no finals played.
The focus for Association Championships is match play, getting back out on court and viewing athletes for talent identification. All teams in an age group will combine in one division and play each other. After such a disrupted two years, Netball Victoria aims to maximise the number of matches teams are able to play.
