The Victorian Fury will take on the NNSW Waratahs in the ANL 2016 Grand Final after defeating the Western Sting 56-47 in the knockout semi-final at Netball Central, Sydney.
It was a willing encounter between the two teams, Fury overcoming a slow start to find their rhythm and put on a strong final-quarter performance, something Coach Cathy Fellows said the team will take confidence in ahead of tomorrow’s Grand Final.
“Finals are a completely different game to any other in the ANL round, and we’re pleased we actioned what we needed to and I thought under tight situations we stepped up today.”
The Fury will be chasing their seventh ANL premiership when they take on the NNSW Waratahs in Sydney on Sunday 26 June at 12pm AEST.
