The Dandenong Ranges provided the perfect backdrop for the 2019 Netball Victoria State Titles presented by Lumo Energy, with the Henderson Region topping the winners’ list, winning three out of the six divisions contested.
Hosted by the Lillydale and Yarra Valley Netball Association, the 2019 State Titles saw 59 teams representing 18 out of 19 regions and over 600 players take to the courts in Kilsyth for two days of back-to-back netball action.
Henderson narrowly defeated Goulburn in a one-goal thriller in the 15/U competition, and also took out the State Title in the 17/U and All Abilities Division Two competitions.
Barwon also came away from the weekend with multiple State Titles to their name, convincingly winning the Final in both the Open and All Abilities Championship divisions.
Elmer won the remaining title on offer in the 15/U Mixed division, defeating Two Bays with a final score line of 19-9.
As well as the on-court action, off court Netball Victoria ran both an umpiring mentor program and coaching development program to further upskill our netball community.
Netball Victoria would like to thank the Lillydale and Yarra Valley Netball Association, in particular President Simon Grimes, and the Yarra Ranges Council for their support in delivering the tournament. A special thanks also to Netball Victoria’s major partner, Lumo Energy.
