Netball Victoria and BCNA are encouraging schools, clubs, associations and leagues to host a Pink Sports Day in support of Australians affected by breast cancer.
Over 20,000 Australian women and men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, and by raising funds through your local netball community’s Pink Sports Day, you’re able to help provide information and support to those in need.
Hosting a Pink Sports Day is easy and everyone can get involved, either on the court or the sidelines. When you register, you’ll set up your dedicated online fundraising page that makes it easy for members to donate. You can also order a fantastic range of Pink Sports Day merchandise to help you ‘pink up’ – pink socks, pink laces, pink beanies and much more! Then, on the day of your event, you can add a cake stall, sausage sizzle, lucky dip or raffle to raise extra funds.
BCNA is here if you need. Every host receives a free starter pack with posters, balloons, tattoo transfers, Pink Lady silhouettes and donation tins. There’s also extensive digital support including the dedicated donation page and social media imagery.
You can hold a Pink Sports Day any time throughout the year and we encourage you to pick a date that works best for your club calendar. Many clubs choose the Mother’s Day weekend in May or during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
