A number of Victorian netball Associations, Leagues and Clubs have been successful in their grant applications and will receive as much as $3,000 to help improve the capacity and accessibility of netball in the new year.
More than 500 applications were received for Round One of the VicHealth Active Club Grants and Round One of the Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) Sporting Club Grants Program.
Netball Victoria CEO Michelle Plane said she was pleased to see the netball community recognised amongst the list of grant recipients .
“The ongoing support netball receives from VicHealth, as well as Sport and Recreation Victoria, is critical in supporting the growth initiatives of our Victorian Associations, Leagues and Clubs,” said Ms Plane.
“The grants will allow for more people to be involved in netball more often, enabling recipients to purchase new uniforms and equipment, invest in skills development and increase club operational capacity.”
Round 2 of VicHealth’s Active Club Grants opens Monday 1 February and closes Friday 4 March, whilst Round 2 of SRV’s Sporting Club Grants Program opens Thursday 21 January and closes Thursday 3 March.
