Child Safety
New Netball Australia Child Safeguarding Policy
Netball Victoria has adopted the Netball Australia Child Safeguarding Policy, effective 01/01/2023.
This means that Netball Victoria Affiliates (and their own affiliated organisations – i.e, clubs) will no longer reference the Netball Victoria Child Safety Policy (2017).
Click here to access resources associated to the NA Child Safeguarding Policy.
Note that new resources related to the Policy will be updated in the Netball Victoria Child Safeguarding Resource Hub over the coming months.
Code of Conduct – Child Safe Practices
The Netball Australia Child Safeguarding Policy includes the Child Safe Practices as an appendix.
This will replace the Netball Victoria Child Safe Code of Conduct. The Child Safe Practices will be referred to in the same manner that the Netball Victoria Child Safety Code of Conduct previously was. Click here to download the most recent version of the Child Safe Practices.

Child Safety Statement
Every person in the netball community has a responsibility to understand their role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care.
Netball Victoria is committed to promoting and protecting the rights of children and preventing abuse from occurring by fostering a culture where children feel safe and empowered.
We also seek to ensure the cultural safety of First Nations children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and children with a disability.
