The Country Football and Netball Program continues to deliver important funding to support the growth of community sport across regional Victoria. With a focus on improving local facilities and creating more inclusive, accessible spaces, the program helps ensure sporting communities can thrive.
From upgraded lighting to accessible parking bays, the latest round of funding is supporting netball communities to enhance their facilities and provide better experiences for players, volunteers, and spectators.
Both Stribling Reserve netball courts and Traralgon Netball Association at Agnes Brereton Reserve will receive funding for lighting upgrades, while Buninyong Recreation Reserve will see the construction of two new acrylic netball courts with lighting, and will include shelter, storage, fencing, improved connecting paths and two accessible parking bays.
Applications for the new round of grants for the 2026-27 Country Football Netball Program close on 26 February 2026. Regional and outer metropolitan councils can apply for grants of up to $250,000 for sports infrastructure developments including court lighting upgrades, changeroom overhauls, new pavilions and more.
Netball Victoria encourages associations, leagues and clubs that are eligible and ‘shovel ready’ to begin the process as soon as possible. It is vital that Council is engaged throughout this process.
Netball Victoria’s facilities team is also available to support and for guidance in the process should you have any questions.
