Netball Victoria and Sportway Australia have joined forces to transform the way netball is experienced, announcing a landmark partnership that will explore bringing live and on-demand streaming to matches played at the State Netball Centre in Parkville.
The partnership will see Sportway’s AI-powered technology installed across all courts at the Parkville venue, enabling competitions from grassroots participation through to elite-level matches to be streamed to a brand-new digital platform tailored specifically for the netball community.
This innovative platform can not only deliver high-quality live and on-demand access to games, but also offer powerful netball-specific coaching analysis tools. These tools will provide players, coaches and officials with new ways to review and elevate performance.
Sportway Australia CEO Mark Hardess said the partnership builds on Sportway’s growing reputation for delivering scalable broadcast and analysis solutions to grassroots and national sporting bodies.
“We’re excited to partner with Netball Victoria and bring our proven technology to one of the strongest netball communities in the country,” Hardess said.
“This isn’t just about streaming matches. It’s about building a complete digital ecosystem that supports participation, performance and connection across the sport.
“Parkville is just the beginning. We look forward to working with Netball Victoria to expand the reach and impact of this platform.”
The new streaming service is set to be trialled this year. The Parkville deployment marks the first major step to bring this level of access and innovation to more venues across Victoria and, potentially, nationwide.
This partnership complements Netball Victoria’s participation programs by delivering a more inclusive experience to players and supporters across the state and signals a new chapter in the digital evolution of Australian netball.
