Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens are pleased to welcome Megan Simpson to our Executive team as General Manager, Vixens, Performance and Pathways.
Simpson brings a wealth of experience in high performance and sports administration, as well as senior roles in corporate services.
The move will represent a return to Simpson’s roots, having honed her netball skills through the Victorian pathway and held positions including at Netball Australia as National Coaching Director, National Head Coach at Netball Fiji and more recently at Netball NSW and Diving Victoria in senior administration roles.
Simpson will work closely with Melbourne Vixens head coach Simone McKinnis OAM and play a key role in leading the team into the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season and beyond.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Megan to the Executive team at Netball Victoria,” said Netball Victoria and Melbourne Vixens CEO, Rosie King OAM.
“Megan’s blend of experience in senior roles across high performance, administration and corporate services positions her well to excel in her new role, and we know she and Simone will make a formidable team as we strive to go one better in Super Netball next year.”
“We thank our outgoing colleague Rebekah Webster for her years of outstanding service to Netball Victoria and the Vixens, and wish her all the best in her new role at the Victorian Institute of Sport.”
