Netball Victoria is thrilled to be launching its inaugural Youth Advisory Committee – a group of 15-24 year olds helping shape netball in Victoria.
The committee – which will be elected based on an application process – will meet regularly across 2022 and will be encouraged to raise issues and topics they are passionate about, as well as participate in leadership and strategic planning sessions run by experts.
Netball Victoria’s Affiliate Services Manager, Jen Camilleri has been a driving force behind the development of the Youth Advisory Committee and is excited to see it brought to life.
“We’re thrilled to be able to be launching Netball Victoria’s Youth Advisory Committee, and to give voices to the future leaders of our sport,” said Camilleri.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the younger people in our netball community to highlight what really matters to them, and to align that to Netball Victoria’s strategic plan moving forward.
“I’m already really proud of the work that will come out of this initiative and look forward to meeting and being inspired by those interested in joining the committee across the next few weeks, as well as once elected.”
Applications for the committee will open on Monday 25 October on Netball Victoria’s website.
Those interested in applying, may also like to register for this Sunday’s junior leadership webinar, as part of Netball Victoria’s Leadership and Game Development Conference. Registrations are open here.
