Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens are pleased to announce the signing of BMD Constructions as a key partner for 2023.
The BMD Group is Australia’s largest privately owned civil contractor with their geographic footprint now positioning them as a major player in the infrastructure sector, with projects across transport, water, rail, port, aviation, resources and energy.
With a number of major sporting partnerships across Australia from surf lifesaving to AFL, rugby league and soccer, BMD believes in the power of sport and the way it brings people together. This partnership will put BMD in the centre of the court with the logo featuring on the Melbourne Vixens home and away uniforms in 2023.
Netball Victoria CEO Andrea Pearman said the organisation was excited to welcome BMD on board.
“BMD’s support will benefit netball across our state’s grassroots and elite programs. We look forward to working together in pursuit of greater access and participation in both sport and the construction industry for women and girls across the country.”
BMD CEO Scott Power said the partnership was an exciting opportunity for the company which has been operating in Victoria since 2008, the same year the Melbourne Vixens franchise began competing.
“At BMD, we take great pride in supporting the local communities in which we operate, and we’re absolutely thrilled to announce our partnership with Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens,” said Mr Power.
“Given our commitment to supporting the career pathways for women in the construction industry, and our record pipeline of work in Victoria, I am particularly excited about this partnership and the tremendous opportunities it presents to reach young women through a sport where these athletes are champions of leadership, empowerment and resilience.”
