Mizuno is the latest brand to join the Netball Victoria family, becoming the official footwear partner for the organisation.
The respected Japanese brand, was established in 1906 and has a history of developing quality products, with the mandate to enhance athlete performance.
Mizuno’s exciting new range of netball shoes make it the perfect partner for Netball Victoria, who continues to govern the sport across the state and importantly provides a variety of different programs and activities – and a renowned development pathway – for netballers across the state.
Netball Victoria Chief Executive Officer, Rosie King said partnering with Mizuno simply made sense.
“Mizuno has a strong and proud history, similar to Netball Victoria, and with the launch of their netball shoe range it just made sense for us to come together,” said King.
As part of the partnership, Mizuno recently provided each member of Victoria’s Marie Little Shield OAM team, with a pair of their netball shoes. The Marie Little Shield is a national competition for athletes with an intellectual disability.
“It was great to see our Victorian Marie Little Shield team kitted up in some of the best netball shoes available for the recent tournament. We are really thrilled to have Mizuno join the Netball Victoria family,” said King.
Mizuno Australia’s Head of Sport, Shane Holub, echoed King’s sentiments, explaining that they are looking forward to working with Netball Victoria and to helping the organisation achieve its ultimate vision – to have more people involved in netball more often.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Netball Victoria.
“As we continue to grow our brand in Australia, and in particularly in the netball space, we feel a real synergy with Netball Victoria and their vision – to grow the participation of the game across communities all over Victoria,” said Holub.
