The Netball Victoria family is excited to be continuing the Play Festival Roadshow this weekend when it arrives in Warrnambool on Sunday.
Netball Victoria CEO Rosie King outlined the importance netball, and sport in general can play during a time when communities would be doing it tough.
“Our thoughts are with the communities affected by the bushfires,” said King.
“Sport is a way of life in South West Victoria and we have a wonderful netball family in that area.
“Our team is ready, willing and able to provide support when needed and we will be continuing with our Play Festival Roadshow this weekend for anyone who is wanting some relief from the stresses of the past week,” said King.
Mayor of Warrnambool Cr Robert Anderson echoed King’s sentiments.
“I think it’s a great thing, especially getting the kids involved in sport,” said Anderson
“We welcome the Netball Victoria team to Warrnambool with arms wide open”.
