2026 STATE TITLES
Saturday 7 March – Monday 9 March
State Netball Centre, Parkville
Netball Victoria’s premier pathway event, the State Titles, will return to the State Netball Centre in March 2026, adding to a blockbuster Labour Day long weekend schedule in the sporting capital of the world.
Following two successful years on the road in Bendigo and Frankston, the State Titles are heading home to Melbourne’s state-of-the-art netball headquarters for three days of elite junior and open-age competition from 7-9 March.
With 18 regions from across the state represented, the State Titles provide an exciting and highly competitive environment for more than 600 emerging athletes, as well as coaches, umpires, and officials.
A cornerstone of Netball Victoria’s performance pathway, the State Titles opens the annual talent calendar, and serves as a platform for talent identification and development for athletes and officials.
Over 600 of Victoria’s emerging netballers will compete in a round robin tournament under the 18 region banners, with the highest-placed teams competing in finals to determine the 2026 state champions.
The State Titles competition has been instrumental in uncovering some of Victoria’s top talent, including Melbourne Vixens stars Kate Eddy and Hannah Mundy.
Netball Victoria’s General Manager – High Performance and Pathways, Sharelle McMahon was also identified at State Titles before going on to captain both the Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne Vixens, and earn over 100 test caps for the Australian Diamonds.
Speaking on the State Titles, McMahon said:
“The State Titles are an integral part of our high performance pathway and continue to uncover the next generation of Victorian talent.
“We're thrilled to bring this iconic event back to the State Netball Centre, where athletes can compete in a world-class facility and in front of passionate local crowds.”
Across the three-day tournament, athletes will compete in five divisions: all abilities, 15&Under, 17&Under (female and male), and Open Female.
From this year’s event, 39 athletes were selected to trial for the Victorian 17/U and 19/U state teams, and 38 athletes were selected to trial for the 2026 Talent Academy squads across the state, while nine umpires were successfully awarded their B Badge umpire accreditation.
A RAFFLE SUPPORTING THE PATHWAY
This year’s State Titles were presented by PEUGEOT, who have joined Netball Victoria as a major partner supporting talent development across the state. That partnership has extended into an exciting new initiative, Netball Victoria’s Pathway Raffle, with proceeds being invested into programs such as the State Titles.
The raffle gives Victorians the chance to win a brand-new PEUGEOT 3008 Hybrid GT Premium, valued at over $70,000.
All proceeds go directly into Netball Victoria’s pathway programs, helping to strengthen opportunities for the next generation of netballers, umpires, and coaches.
With the raffle closing on Wednesday 13 August, now is the time to purchase your tickets and support the future of netball in Victoria. The winner will be drawn at the Victorian Netball League Grand Final at the State Netball Centre that night.
Netball Victoria CEO Andrea Pearman said:
“Every ticket purchased helps us reinvest directly into our sport, supporting grassroots development, expanding participation across diverse communities, and strengthening our elite pathways.”
