Netball Victoria today announced Toyota as the new presenting partner of its flagship pathway events the Association Championships and State Titles for 2023.
Toyota’s support will enable Netball Victoria to deliver two of the major competitions in its talent pathway for athletes, coaches and officials. The announcement represents an expansion of last year’s successful partnership with KINTO as presenting partner of the 2022 State Titles.
With the support of Toyota, Netball Victoria will be able to showcase its pathway events to a larger audience across the state, and to continue to develop netball both in metro and regional areas through Toyota’s assistance in raising awareness for grassroots programs and encouraging a continual growth in netball participation by inspiring young Victorians to be active and healthy.
The Association Championships are a key component of the Netball Victoria talent pathway, where emerging talented netballers from regional and metropolitan areas are recognised for their skills and potential. Talent scouts attend each tournament date, inviting selected players to attend Talent Academy trials.
The Championships see 350 association and league representative teams from across the state compete in their zone’s qualifying tournament, culminating in the Finals Day held on Sunday 18 June at Parkville’s State Netball Centre.
The State Titles offer an opportunity for teams from all 19 regions across the state to compete in 15 & Under, 17 & Under and Open female, 17 & Under male, and mixed All Abilities divisions.
The round robin-style tournament leads to finals, where the top teams play off to be crowned state champions. In 2023, the competition will be hosted at the State Netball Centre in Parkville across the weekend of 7-8 October.
