Netball Australia has named the 66 athletes selected in the 2024 17/U and 19/U Australian squads, with twelve Victorians among those named following the National Netball Championships.
Mia Aitken, Allie Davidson, Amalani Fauonuku, Alice O’Callaghan, Mackenzie O’Dwyer, Eva Ryan and Leila Simpson form part of the 17/U squad, while Harriet Gall, Mia Lavis, Eliza Molino, Tara Watson and Melbourne Vixen Lily Graham join the 19/U squad.
This marks the second year in the 19/U squad for Graham and Watson, while Gall, Lavis and Molino step up from 17/U to the 19/U group.
The newly named squads will take part in training camps delivered by Netball Australia at the Australian Institute of Sport in July.
“We’re proud to have so many Victorian athletes selected in national squads, it’s a great reflection of the strength of our pathway,” said Netball Victoria General Manager, High Performance & Pathways Megan Simpson.
“National selection is a fantastic reward for our athletes’ commitment and talent, and an exciting opportunity to continue their development alongside peers from across the country.”
“We’ll continue to evaluate and develop our pathway programs to ensure Victorian netballers have the best possible opportunities to thrive.”
