The Victorian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association has claimed the title of national champions in four divisions in a dominant display at the 2024 Australian Men’s and Mixed Nationals tournament in Brisbane.
All six of VMMNA’s teams made the grand final in their respective divisions, with the Men’s Open, Men’s Reserve, 23/Under and 17/Under sides coming out on top at Nissan Arena following a week of tough competition.
The athleticism and skill of Victoria's contingent was evident from the outset, particularly as the Men's Open side sought redemption for their defeat in last year's grand final.
The Men's Open final against New South Wales was an outstanding contest, with Australian Kelpies representatives all over the court for both sides including Victoria's Brodie Roberts, Riley Richardson, Alastair Punshon and Josh Byron.
VMMNA head coach Gerard Murphy made the most of his squad's impressive depth, rotating combinations and delivering an exceptional seven-goal win to reclaim the title.
