The 2023 Schools Championships culminated in four days of finals held over two weeks at the State Netball Centre, as students from across Victoria showcased their determination and teamwork.
The grand finals brought together teams from nine divisions in four age groups, each vying for the coveted titles.
With regional preliminary rounds held in Shepparton, Leongatha, Geelong, Ballarat, and Hamilton, this year's competition also witnessed a robust presence from regional Victorian teams.
In the Primary Girls division, Methodist Ladies College emerged triumphant, securing a well-fought victory over Wonga Park Primary School. Bentleigh West Primary School demonstrated their mettle in the Primary Boys, securing a nine-goal victory against Leongatha Primary School.
The Primary Mixed category saw a closely contested match, with Chairo Christian School narrowly defeating Tucker Road Primary School.
Carey Baptist Grammar School clinched both the Junior and Senior girls titles, defeating Loreto Toorak by two goals in both matches.
Flinders College have also walked away with two victories in the Junior and Intermediate Boys divisions, with strong performances against St. Paul's Anglican Grammar and Drouin Secondary College respectively.
Our Lady of Mercy College triumphed over Maribyrnong College in a nail-biting match in the Intermediate Girls division, OLMC triumphing by just a single goal.
Aquinas College defeated Flinders College in a dominant display to secure the title in the Senior Boys division.
With an impressive total of 491 teams from 185 schools participating across various divisions, this year's Schools Championships showcased widespread enthusiasm and talent, and certainly promises a bright future for netball in Victoria.
