For the 20th year, WorkSafe Victoria is supporting country netball across the state with the WorkSafe Country Club Series.
The series is an initiative that celebrates and supports Victorian country footy and netball clubs with a week of immersive activity and education, to highlight the important role sport plays in community wellbeing for players and officials, in the lead up to the WorkSafe Country Club game and matchday experience.
The program delivered across the week by WorkSafe includes a WorkSafe Mental Health Workshop presented by Sport and Life Training, a Country Club training night with Melbourne Vixens ambassadors attending a club training session, and a Country Club Match Day featuring giveaways, activations, awards, and a range of guests.
With a proud history of investment in the sport, and now as principal partner of Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens, WorkSafe has long been a supporter of Victorian netball, promoting the message of workplace safety in regional areas where the prevalence of workplace injury and death is far too high.
The 2024 WorkSafe Country Club Series will see six clubs play host to activities across the year, starting with Numurkah Football Netball Club on Sunday 28 April.
