Netball Victoria is seeking a First Nations Manager to join our purpose led team in a part time role (3 days per week). About the role
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, we are seeking an advocate with strong cultural knowledge, leadership capability and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills who can work collaboratively with First Nations communities, affiliates, partners and internal teams to drive action and create meaningful impact.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading the development, delivery and continuous improvement of Netball Victoria’s Innovate RAP and future RAP stages
Championing reconciliation and providing expert guidance across the organisation
Coordinating and supporting the First Nations Advisory Group and RAP Working Group
Designing and delivering programs that empower young people and communities through netball
Strengthening diversity and inclusion initiatives and participation pathways
Building strong, respectful partnerships with First Nations communities and stakeholders
Overseeing community engagement programs, clinics, events and First Nations rounds
Leading and supporting culturally respectful initiatives such as the Melbourne Vixens First Nations dress design
What you will bring:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the First Nations environment
Relevant Tertiary qualification.
Demonstrated experience working with First Nations communities and stakeholders
Strong relationship-building, communication and engagement skills
Strategic thinking and the ability to lead programs from concept through to delivery
Experience in diversity, inclusion, community development or sport (highly regarded)
A commitment to creating culturally safe environments for children, young people and communities
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Driver’s licence and ability to travel within Victoria.

Netball Victoria is seeking an enthusiastic and community-minded Growth Development Officer to support and grow netball participation within the Ballarat region. This role is suited to someone with experience in sports administration, ideally within Netball Victoria environments such as leagues, associations and clubs, who is passionate about supporting strong, inclusive and sustainable community netball.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of competitions, participation initiatives and development programs, while helping build the capability and sustainability of grassroots netball in the region.

About the role
The Growth Development Officer plays a key role in supporting and growing netball in the Ballarat region through the delivery of local competitions, development programs and participation initiatives.
The role works closely with clubs, schools, volunteers and community stakeholders to ensure local netball is well supported, inclusive and positioned for growth. You will also provide guidance across systems, administration and community engagement, helping build strong and sustainable environments for participants.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Coordinate the planning, delivery and evaluation of local Netball Victoria competitions, ensuring safe, inclusive and effective operations.
Deliver participation and development programs, including NetSetGO, Sporting Schools, clinics and other endorsed initiatives.
Support clubs, schools, volunteers and stakeholders with competition management, administration and participation growth.
Build strong relationships across the community to support grassroots netball development and enhance participant and volunteer experiences.
Due to the nature of the role, evening and weekend work will be required.What you will bring:
Minimum 12 months’ experience in sports administration or a similar environment
Practical experience working within a netball association, league or club environment, or a comparable community sport setting
Advanced capability in Netball Connect administration
Strong customer service and communication skills, including face-to-face, phone and written communication
Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work both autonomously and as part of a team
Understanding of grassroots sporting organisations, with netball experience highly regarded
Knowledge of inclusion and diversity in sport, particularly in multicultural and all-abilities contexts
Valid Employee Working with Children Check
Willingness to obtain a Police Check
