Volunteer Opportunity: Become a Netball Victoria Community Coach! Get active and connect with you community while working flexible hours! Are you passionate about netball and looking to make a real difference in your community? Join Netball Victoria as a Community Coach, delivering fun and engaging programs in schools and clinics as part of the federally funded Sporting Schools initiative. Help shape the future of inclusive netball in Victoria Are you passionate about leading meaningful relationships, programs and initiatives that support reconciliation, inclusion and participation for First Nations peoples across our sport and organisation? Netball Victoria is seeking a First Nations Manager to join our purpose led team in a part time role (3 days per week). This is a unique opportunity to work at a strategic and community level — strengthening pathways, empowering communities, and ensuring culturally safe and inclusive environments within netball. About the role Reporting to the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, we are seeking an advocate with strong cultural knowledge, leadership capability and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills who can work collaboratively with First Nations communities, affiliates, partners and internal teams to drive action and create meaningful impact. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the development, delivery and continuous improvement of Netball Victoria’s Innovate RAP and future RAP stages
- Championing reconciliation and providing expert guidance across the organisation
- Coordinating and supporting the First Nations Advisory Group and RAP Working Group
- Designing and delivering programs that empower young people and communities through netball
- Strengthening diversity and inclusion initiatives and participation pathways
- Building strong, respectful partnerships with First Nations communities and stakeholders
- Overseeing community engagement programs, clinics, events and First Nations rounds
- Leading and supporting culturally respectful initiatives such as the Melbourne Vixens First Nations dress design
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the First Nations environment
- Relevant Tertiary qualification.
- Demonstrated experience working with First Nations communities and stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building, communication and engagement skills
- Strategic thinking and the ability to lead programs from concept through to delivery
- Experience in diversity, inclusion, community development or sport (highly regarded)
- A commitment to creating culturally safe environments for children, young people and communities
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Driver’s licence and ability to travel within Victoria.

Lead the performance, pathways and professional standards of one of Australia’s most successful Super Netball programs. Netball Victoria is seeking an experienced Performance Manager – Vixens to play a critical leadership role across the Melbourne Vixens and Vixens Academy programs. This is a unique opportunity to influence elite performance, strengthen athlete pathways and contribute to the continued success of Victorian netball at the highest level. About the role Reporting to the General Manager – High Performance & Pathways, the Performance Manager – Vixens is responsible for:
- Driving on and off-court performance of the Melbourne Vixens and Vixens Academy
- Leading excellence across Super Netball and Super Netball Reserves programs
- Strengthening the pathway into the Melbourne Vixens through an integrated Academy and Reserves model
- Managing compliance, integrity and contractual requirements across elite programs
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with coaches, athletes, staff and key stakeholders
- Working with key stakeholders to support the administrative and operational delivery of the Melbourne Vixens Super Netball program.
- Managing athlete contracts, list management processes and salary cap compliance.
- Leading the delivery of the Vixens Academy program.
- Overseeing recruitment, selection and performance of Academy personnel.
- Acting as Internal Compliance Manager for Super Netball and Super Netball Reserves.
- Co-designing and implementing operational plans aligned to Netball Victoria’s high performance strategy.
- Managing program budgets, reporting and continuous improvement processes.
- Building strong relationships with Netball Australia, VNL Clubs, VIS and other key stakeholders.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Sport/business management or administration, sports science /physical performance or similar).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sport administration or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of elite athlete pathways and professional competition structures.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated administration, organisation and communication skills, particularly in compliance and operational delivery.
- Confidence working with athletes, coaches and volunteers
- A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and Netball Victoria’s values.
- Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Driver’s licence and ability to travel within Victoria where required.
