As the Social Media & Content Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering Netball Victoria’s digital content strategy. You’ll be responsible for creating and managing engaging social media content, overseeing community engagement, and producing digital media that connects with netball fans across Victoria. This role focuses on growing audience reach, enhancing engagement, and supporting Netball Victoria’s and the Melbourne Vixens' online presence.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Content: Develop, produce, and publish engaging social media content across Netball Victoria and Melbourne Vixens platforms.
Community Engagement: Manage and moderate online communities to create a positive and engaging space for fans and members. Drive audience growth through a TikTok-first strategy, leveraging trends, influencers, and athletes to enhance reach and engagement.
Media Production: Assist with photography, videography, and podcast production to enhance digital storytelling.
Reporting & Strategy: Monitor content performance and provide insights to improve audience engagement and growth.

In this leadership role, you'll spearhead Netball Victoria's strategy in the Victoria's North East Region, working closely with local associations, leagues, clubs, and government stakeholders. You’ll oversee key initiatives to increase participation, champion community support, and foster a high-performance culture within the netball community. This role requires a split of time between NV offices in Shepparton and Parkville.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Engagement: Implement participation strategies, provide support to clubs and leagues, and drive initiatives for male participation and diverse community involvement.
Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with local councils, sports academies, and community groups to expand netball's reach.
Facility Strategy & Support: Work with the Facilities Development Team on local facility planning, providing insights and facilitating audits and site visits as needed.
Communication & Community Impact: Partner with the Communications Team to promote regional events and successes, and engage with media for positive exposure.

As the Media & Communications Assistant, you will support Netball Victoria’s Media, Communications, and Competitions teams in driving engagement and coverage of the Victorian Netball League (VNL). This role involves creating digital content, managing match-day social media, and collaborating with clubs, players, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Media
You will attend VNL match days, capturing and posting real-time social media content. Your role includes writing match previews, reports, and feature stories for the Netball Victoria website to keep fans informed. You'll also support clubs and players with media interactions and interviews, while assisting with photography and videography to capture key moments.
Digital & Engagement
Promoting VNL livestreams and sharing key updates across social media will be a key focus, helping to grow the league’s digital presence. You will also assist with website updates and e-communications, ensuring content remains fresh and relevant for the netball community.
This role is ideal for a creative communicator passionate about sports media and digital storytelling in netball.
