WHAT TO EXPECT
It was a tight contest when these two sides met in the pool matches, with Fury sneaking away with a narrow one goal win – with the title on the line this time around, expect another close-fought battle. Force will enter the game with a head full of steam after defeating the top of the table Magpies in their semi final, while the Fury will be eager to put out a full four quarter effort to seal the deal.
SPOTLIGHT ON RUBY BARKMEYER – FURY
The goal attack has had an impressive ANC campaign, playing both a feeding and shooting role. Barkmeyer’s connection with Emma Ryde has been crucial to the Fury’s success so far with her spatial awareness and deft touches enabling her to have an impact in attack. Barkmeyer has showcased her strong drives along the goal line and turn of speed in each game, while her flexibility to move between goal attack and goal shooter has added another string to the Fury’s attacking bow.
SPOTLIGHT ON CHELSEA BLACKMAN – SOUTHERN FORCE
Blackman has been nothing short of a menace in defence all week, her elevation and deceptive closing speed enabling her to create turnovers. Her read of the play has been on show consistently, as has her great hands over pressure, and Fury’s attack end will have to contend with her physicality under the ring.

Fury co-captain Sharni Lambden is gearing up to lead the side in the Grand Final, noting the importance of having already played Southern Force.
“It’s good that we’ve already had that test against them, and a chance to see what their style of play is,” she said.
“After not playing for two years, to make it to the Grand Final is exciting – it’s been awesome that we’ve been able to get back out and play and we’re proud that we’ve made it this far.
“I’m very grateful and honoured to lead this team alongside Liv, I can’t wait to step out on court with the team today.”
