The Victorian Fury are out to finish their season strongly against the fourth-placed Southern Force this weekend in the final round of the Australian Netball League.
With the finals series fast approaching, and the Fury sitting in on top of the ladder, they will look to finish with two strong wins.
The last time the Fury and the Force played was in Round 5 2016, with the Fury convincing winners 69 – 37.
However, there has been a lot of changes in the two teams since then.
The Fury are coming-off mixed results from the weekend against the second-placed Canberra GIANTS; going down in their first match by seven goals but bouncing back to claim a dominant 70 – 41 victory in the second game.
The Force also recorded a win and a loss from the last round against the third-placed Queensland Fusion.
Sitting just within finals contention, a win from the weekend is crucial for the Force.
Hot on their tail in fifth position and on the same points is the Tasmanian Magpies, followed by the Western Sting, who are just one win behind.
While, the Force will be out to win on the weekend to keep their position on the ladder, the Fury also have a lot to play for, with the minor premiership just within reach.
The games will be played on Saturday 1 April at 5pm at the State Netball Hockey Centre, and Sunday 2 April, 12pm at Waverley Netball Centre.
